Alioune Thiam, aka Akon, est né au Sénégal où il a grandit avant de le quitter pour partir vivre aux Etats-Unis à l'âge de 7 ans. Il vit alors des moments difficiles et est même confronté à la prison, avant de remonter à la surface grâce à la musique. Son single Locked Up cartonne aux USA, et il sort son 1er album Trouble en 2004...
